Our practice
Dr. Maya Patel opened Cedar Park Dental Studio in 2012 with one operatory and a part time hygienist. Fourteen years later the practice has 2 doctors, 5 operatories, and 6,200 patients served from Cedar Park, Leander, and northwest Austin.
Dr. James Whitfield joined in 2019, adding root canal treatment and pediatric care to the schedule. The two doctors now cover 10 services in one office, so a crown, an extraction, or a child's first checkup does not mean a referral across town.
How we work
We plan implants and extractions on a CBCT scanner, take digital X-rays that use less radiation than film, and capture crown and aligner impressions with a digital intraoral scanner instead of trays. Both doctors check numbing twice before starting a procedure, and every treatment plan comes with a written cost estimate before work begins. Appointments run in English, Spanish, and Hindi.

We sponsor two Cedar Park youth soccer teams, donate custom mouthguards to the Cedar Park High School football program each August, and staff a dental screening booth at the Cedar Park farmers market twice a year.
